On the shores of Lake Maggiore, on the Italian side of the lake and in the far north of the Piedmont region, lies Cannero Riviera, the location of our hotel. Right at the end of the long avenue along the lake, is the Hotel, which enjoys a wonderful view of the Castles of Cannero.
We can be reached by all types of transport: car, bus, train and also by boat.
Once in Cannero Riviera leave the main road (Strada Statale SS34) and go down Via Dante Alighieri (the road that enters the town) up to the roundabout on the lake with the installation of three large lemons. Turn left onto the promenade (Viale delle Magnolie), a pedestrian area. Guests of the Hotel Cannero are allowed to drive along the lakeside promenade to reach the hotel, which is located in front of the lake Maggiore navigation pier.
At the entrance, between the two main buildings of the Hotel Cannero, the Staff will welcome you and provide you with information on how to park your car and help you with your luggage.
Bus line: the main stop in the town is on state road 34. You then have to walk down to the Hotel Cannero along via Dante Alighieri or along the pedestrian streets such as via Massimo d’Azeglio or via Guglielmo Marconi.
Train: the closest stations in Italy are Verbania-Pallanza and Stresa, 30 km away. Coming from Switzerland, the closest station is Locarno, 25 km away.
From the stations you can reach the Hotel Cannero either by other public transport, such as bus or boat, or by taxi.
Boat: from Stresa in the afternoon it is possible to reach the Hotel Cannero with the boat of the Navigazione Lago Maggiore, as well as from other towns on Lake Maggiore.
Taxi: on request we can provide the contact details of private taxi companies in our area and assist with bookings.
Private boat: we have a private boat with captain that can be booked on request.
Plane: the closest airports are Milan Malpensa, approx. 75 km away, Milan Linate approx. 125 km, Bergamo Orio al Serio approx. 160 km and Lugano Agno in Switzerland approx. 65km away.
From the airport you can reach the Hotel Cannero by rental car, by public transport or by taxi.
